David and Toni Cox and family of Jamesport were among 106 families honored during the Missouri State Fair’s Family Day, Aug. 11.
The Cox family was selected as the Daviess County Missouri State Fair Farm Family by the Daviess County extension council and local Farm Bureau. The family includes David, Toni and their children Savannah, Kaley, and Megan.
Each year the fair sets aside a day to recognize farm families who are active in their community, involved in agricultural activities and who participate in local outreach and extension educational programs such as 4-H and FFA.
The 50th annual event was sponsored by Missouri Farm Bureau, Missouri Department of Agriculture, Missouri State Fair, University of Missouri Extension and the University of Missouri College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources.
