James Lewis, bridge supervisor, met with the commission reporting that he is accompanying the FEMA representative inspecting flood projects this week.

Dave Allen, bridge department, reported on completed projects in Marion Township. The commission instructed him to begin in Jefferson Township this week. The commission unanimously voted to allow Dave Allen to sign agreements with landowners on behalf of the county, for authorization for private brush removal.

Cathy Youtsey, landowner, made a request with the clerk’s office that repairs be made to a bridge on CART road #504 in Liberty Township. The commission inspected the road, finding it impassable and could not reach the bridge. They will inspect when the road has been graded by the township.

The commission inspected the low water crossing installed by Caldwell County on the county line.

Bills were audited and paid.

Danny Heldenbrand moved to enact an ordinance to opt out of state assessment requirements. David Holcomb seconded. It was adopted and approved unanimously.

Sheriff’s Department

Zachariah Eli Oneal, 17, Trenton, was arrested Aug. 30 following a traffic stop. He was charged with misdemeanor resisting arrest, drug paraphernalia, possession of liquor by minor, and possession of marijuana. He posted $1,000 bond.

Carlsley Crabtree, 21, Cainsville, was arrested Aug. 28 on a probation violation for an original felony arson charge. He is being held on $10,000 bond.

Jamie Scott, 36, Coffey, was arrested Aug. 28 on a probation violation for an original felony charge of possession of controlled substance. Bond was denied.

Brandon Robb, 37, Jamesport, was charged Aug. 31 with misdemeanor domestic assault. He posted $500 bond.

Tara Robb, 23, Jamesport, was charged Aug. 31 with misdemeanor domestic assault third degree, resisting arrest and assault on law enforcement officer. She posted $1,000 bond.

Johnny Kaufman, 21, Jamesport, was charged Aug. 31 with misdemeanor resisting arrest and hindering prosecution. He posted $500 bond.

Heath Wilson, 24, Topeka, Kan., was arrested Aug. 30 for misdemeanor no valid license. He posted $685 bond.

Jason McClure, 18, Logan Kimberling, 24, both of Jamesport, and Dakota Kelsey, 18, Trenton, were each charged Aug. 30 with misdemeanor possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Each was issued a summons and released.

Associate Circuit

Traffic Fines

The following are traffic cases which were heard in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment by mail of the standard fine plus court costs. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside outside of Missouri was $553 for 4 tickets. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside in Missouri was $30 for three cases. Court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $56.50 for moving traffic violations. Missouri defendants, offenses and fines are listed below:

Civil Court

Breach of Contract: Capital One Bank vs. Kari A. Jorgensen was dismissed by parties.

Suit on Account: A default judgment was entered for Midwestern Health and against John First etal.
