GHS teams relish fair weather during early practices

It’s the middle of August and that means two-a-day practices for high school athletic teams preparing for season openers in just two weeks.

New head football coach Jeff White, shown working with GHS quarterback Kayle Hefley, welcomed 30 players to the practice field on Monday. The Bulldogs open the football season at home on Aug. 29^th against Tarkio.

Head softball coach Casey Cole and assistant coach Denise Ray worked with 12 varsity players on Monday. Courtney Ray took her turn during a drill in which players throw from the outfield into a trash can. The Lady Bulldogs, defending conference, district and sectional champs, open their season Aug. 25^th versus Trenton.

Lady Bulldog golfers are busy this week getting ready for their season opener Aug. 27^th at Stanberry.
