Field day requires full attendance and passing of both the written and hands-on tests. Nothing unless you remember to bring your printed certificate indicating you have passed the online test. Review critical skills necessary for safe and responsible hunting. Take a multiple-choice test covering your online studies and the day’s review items. Take a final hands-on demonstration test of the various skills reviewed. If you pass with 80 percent on both tests during the field day, you will receive Hunter Education Certification. If you fail, you will have to pay another $15 to take the full online course or go through the traditional free 10 hour classroom course. The online certificate is good for one year. If you do not attend a field day within a year, you will have to retake the online course and final test with fee again or attend the traditional free 10-hour course. While waiting to take the field day portion, you can revisit the web site to study, review and take pre-tests as much as you want for free. It costs nothing to study or review online.
