A memorial visitation for Barbara Milroy with the family was held Friday at the Roberson Funeral Home in Stanberry. Mrs. Milroy has been cremated. Inurnment will be at a later date in High Ridge Cemetery, Stanberry. Memorials may be made to the Hands of Hope Hospice, Stanberry, in care of Roberson Funeral Home, P.O. Barbara F. Milroy, 71, Stanberry, died Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at a King City nursing home.
She was born July 21, 1937 in Pattonsburg, the daughter of Merle and Lucy (Salmon) Cameron.
On Oct. 27, 1978, she married John L. Milroy. He survives of the home.
She was a lifelong resident of Stanberry. She worked as a nurse’s aide for the Pineview Manor and was a member of the First Christian Church in Stanberry.
She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Jack Cameron; and sister, Janice Gault.
Other survivors include two sons, Mark Milroy, Hiawatha, KS, and David Rosenbaum, St. Joseph; nine daughters, Anna Allen, Chicago, Il, Donna Merrigan, Conception Junction, Judy Moss, St. Joseph, Susan Lobie, Salem, MA, Jana Allart, Salt Lake City, UT, Lisa Rosenbaum, Kansas City, Jenifer Benedict, St. Joseph, Stephenie Wilkerson, St. Joseph, Amy Giesken, Olathe, KS; her mother, Lucy Cameron; three brothers, Mike, Steve and Brad Cameron, all of Stanberry; 22 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
