James and Pearl Hager of Jamesport will observe their 50th wedding anniversary.

James Franklin Hager and Eva Pearl Bryan were united in marriage on Aug. 9, 1958, at Chillicothe, in Livingston county, by Rev. Gordon Ratliff.

James is a veteran having served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed with the Gallatin Motor Company for 25 years and served in the Tri-County R-7 School District for 12 years before retiring.

Pearl was employed with the Trenton Home Foods Corporation for 32 years before retiring.

James and Pearl have two daughters, Zoe Smith and husband Harold Wayne of Chillicothe, and Tina Hager of Maysville; three grandchildren, Dustin Smith, J.C. Smith and wife Kayla, and Zane Smith; and four great-grandchildren.

In honor of their celebration, their children would like to invite all friends and relatives to a reception from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2008, at the community building in the Jamesport City Park.
