More than 750 students were eligible to receive degrees when Rockhurst University held its 88th annual commencement Saturday, May 17, at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.
In keeping with the student-centered focus at Rockhurst, Ashley Shrader a communication studies and theology major from Papillion, Neb., delivered the commencement address.
Rockhurst University, founded in 1910, has an enrollment of approximately 3,000 students. It is one of 28 Jesuit universities in the United States and consistently is ranked among the top regional universities in the Midwest by U.S. News and World Report.
The following students from our area were candidates for degrees: Kidder – Kasey Jane Shipley, Psychology, Bachelor of Arts; Winston – Lindsey Marie Edwards, Psychology, Bachelor of Arts.
