The theme is "Remembering Yester Year" and three days of events will feature gospel music, a baby show, a horse shoe pitching contest, tractor pulls, a parade, skits by the Winston Players, Country Gone Crazy, and much, much more. There will be a flea market, free drawings, giveaways, and fun and games for kids of all ages.

Friday, July 11

Activities begin on Friday, July 11 when the food shack opens at 6:30 p.m., serving sandwiches, ice cream and cake. At 7 p.m. the ministerial alliance presents gospel music. The Moon Walk and depot will be open.

Saturday, July 12

The Food Shack will be open all day! KAW Fire Department will serve biscuits and gravy at 7 a.m. at the Fire House. At 8 a.m register for the 5K Run, sponsored by area scouts. The run is at 8:30 a.m.. At 9 a.m. there will be a flag raising ceremony by the Winston Area Scouts. The baby show is at 9:30 a.m., with Kelly Uthe, Hostess, 816-288-9170. At 10 a.m., there is a stamp cancellation, as well as a horse shoe pitching contest by area scouts. The coordinator is Brenda Goll. Sign up for horse shoe pitching at 8 a.m. in the park. The stock garden tractor pull is also at 10 a.m. Contact Larry Baldwin, 660-663-7777.

At 12:30 p.m. is the line up for the parade at the Winston School. Register before 11 a.m. for the parade at the fire house. The parade is at 1 p.m., conducted by the KAW Fire District. There are trophies for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place. At 1:30 p.m. is the town council presentation. At 2 p.m. Mic-O-Say Dancers perform. At 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., there are Winston Players Skits. At 7 p.m. Country Gone Crazy is sponsored by Farmers Bank of Northern Missouri-Gallatin Branch. Bring your lawn chairs.

Sunday, July 13

The Community Church Services in the park are at 10:30 a.m., followed by carry-in basket dinner. Everyone welcome. At 11:30 a.m. is the National Micro-Mini Tractor Pull at the Fire House. The charge for flea market vendors is $15 per space; for food vendors, $50 per space. There are no electric hookups. For information call 660-749-5725.
