The investigation resulted in Debra J. Nixdorf, Kidder, 48, being charged by the DeKalb Co. Prosecutors Office with a class A misdemeanor of delivering a prohibited article on the premises of a correctional center. The state alleges that Mrs. Nixodorf delivered the cell phone to Omar Muhammed, an offender confined at Western Missouri Correctional Center.

Ms. Nixdorf’s arraignment was scheduled for Wednesday, June 18.

The Cameron Police Department cautioned that charges against these individuals are simple accusations and not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting the charges must be presented in a court having jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence.
