Funeral services for Patty Hollars were held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at McCarthy Baptist Church, St. Joseph. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, St. Joseph. Arrangements were by Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Joseph.

Patty (Stains) Hollars, 62, St. Joseph, died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at her home.
Mrs. Hollars was born Dec. 28, 1945, in St. Joseph.
She married Marrion Hollars on Sept. 8, 1973. He survives of the home.
She and her husband owned and operated the Hairport Beauty Salon, where she was a cosmetologist.
Mrs. Hollars was a member of McCarthy Baptist Church, St. Joseph China Painters and Humane Society. She had a home at Lake Viking.
Mrs. Hollars was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary (Walter) Stains.
Other survivors include three stepsons, Marlan Hollars, Smithville, and Marc Hollars and Matthew Hollars, both of St. Joseph; two sisters, Phyllis Cunningham and Obbie Barry, St. Joseph; one brother, William Stains, St. Joseph; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
