The North Daviess R-3 Board of Education voted to provide a $1 per hour salary increase to all support staff for the next school year (Yes 5, No 1) during a special board meeting held Tuesday, May 27.

The board accepted the extra duty assignments and salaries for the next school year.
It was the consensus of the board to renew the search for an elementary custodian.
Jeremy Hunter, secretary of the board, and Cecil McCrary, president of the board, were placed on the primary checking account. Signature rights to the petty cash checking account were given to Becky Morris and Kristy Weldon. Becky Morris was appointed able to transfer funds between the primary checking account and certificates of deposit and other financial investments.
Contracts were approved for Daniel Street, Diann Barnes and Cathryn Brown for next school year.
Nancy Edwards was contracted for speech services.
The next regular meeting was set for Monday, June 16, at 7 p.m.
The regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, May 19, 2008, was interrupted during the executive session by a fire in the community. Three of the six members attending left the meeting to fight the fire. No other business took place as there were only three members left and there was no quorum.
The purpose of the special meeting was to complete the business of the board left from the May 19 meeting.
The board held an executive session.
Present at the special board meeting of the North Daviess R-3 School District held Tuesday, May 27, at Coffey were board members David Iddings, Jeremy Hunter, Jason Lewis, Cecil McCrary, Axel Olsen and Debbie Ray. Absent was Doug Baker. Also present were Superintendent Julie Kirby; Board Secretary Jeremy Hunter.
