The month of May was a very busy time. We had our Mother’s Day Tea with the Gospelaires on May 10. Balloon release was May 12 to announce National Nursing Home Week. The residents enjoyed it very much.
Nadine Watts and Donna Dutro provided a karaoke music program. Several residents and employees sang along. Joyce Becerra and Betty Huffman helped with the clowning around day. The residents got a big laugh when I had three pies thrown that ended up in my face.
On Friday we ended the week with a family barbecue, which was delicious. We also enjoyed some good ol’ country music with Mark Burnett and friends.
The visitors that signed our guest book were the "cookie ladies," Mildred Huff and Elanor Best from Pattonsburg First Baptist Church; Marge McAfee; Gallatin First Baptist; Mike Wickman; Leslie and Jami Pares, who had worship service on May 25; Howard Stevenson; Lois Prindle and LaVaughn Thomas. The residents enjoy these visits very much.
