The Pattonsburg FFA SAE Committee held their first annual Farm Day petting zoo on May 16, 2008.
This event allowed the Pattonsburg elementary students to get up close and personal with a very diverse group of animals. Animals in attendance included a donkey brought by Bud Gardner, a ferret brought by Heather Allee, a bottle calf by Lindsey Lambert, a horse and a pony by Haley Slessman, a dachshund puppy brought by Heather Coffey, a Siberian Husky by Sarah Emerson, two hens by Michael Lewis, and two Alpine, two pygmy, and two Alpine kid goats brought by Rhiannon Riley. Overall Farm Day was a great success. Above, this pygmy goat, Belle, was particularly popular with the elementary students.
