First four flags retired to new flag station

A public ceremony to initiate a new flag retirement station at the Daviess County Courthouse was conducted Monday, May 19.

The flag retirement station is an Eagle Scout project completed by Kevin Corwin, the son of Mark and Vicki Corwin of Gallatin. It is located near the courthouse’s east entrance. Anyone needing to properly dispose of an American flag can simply drop the flag into the retirement station.
