Virginia Marie Case, 97, of Lake St. Louis, Mo., passed away May 10, 2008 in O’Fallon, Mo.

Visitation and memorial services will be held Saturday, May 17, 2008 at First Baptist Church, Gallatin. Visitation from 10 a.m. with the services at 11 a.m. Inurnment will be at Hill Crest Cemetery following services.

Virginia was born Jan. 10, 1911, near Jameson, Mo., to Omar and Besse Huntington. She grew up in Jameson graduating from high school in May of 1929. She later attended cosmetology school in Kansas City graduating from there in 1931.

On Oct. 10, 1937 she was married to Owen J. Case, her childhood sweetheart.

In 1941 the celebrated the birth of their only child, Nancy Suzanne.

In 1947, they built the home they were to live in for the rest of their married life. Upon the death of Owen in 1975, she moved to Mary Arlene Apartments and lived there until 1995, moving to Lake St. Louis to be closer to her family.

She professed her faith of her Lord at an early age. She was a former member of First Baptist Church of Gallatin, Mo.

She was a 50 year member and Past Matron of the Jameson Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, Daughters of American Revolution, PEO Sisterhood, Gallatin Beautification, Gallatin Historical Society.

After her move to Lake St. Louis, she moved her church membership to First Baptist Church, Lake St. Louis. She was a member of Jardin du Lac Garden Club and was awarded a Life membership in Federated Garden Clubs of Missouri in 1999 and Honor Book award in 2004.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Milliken (Charles), granddaughters, Catherine Suzanne Ruprecht, (John) of St. Louis; and Elizabeth Gail McCrary (Roger) of Greenville, S.C.; great grandchildren, Elizabeth, Caroline and Jack of St. Louis; Bonnie, Natalie, Molly and Roger (Rocky) of S.C.; niece Phyllis Weathers; nephew Owen Rene Case and James Worth Case; great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Owen and her parents Omar and Besse.
