The 2008 Spring Turkey Season end of season totals for statewide harvest were: 43,415 (35,341 adult gobblers, 679 bearded hens, 7,395 juvenile gobblers).

This is a decrease of 1,531 compared to 2007. The state record harvest was in 2004 with 56,882. The three high counties were Franklin 838; Texas 801; and Osage 696. There were three non-fatal accidents.
Totals for the Northwest Region were 5,730 (4,914 adult gobblers, 77 bearded hens, 739 juvenile gobblers). This is a decrease of 872 compared to 2007.
The three high Northwest counties were Carroll 521; Harrison 483; and Nodaway 407.
Daviess County totals were 320. That is down 41 turkeys compared to 2007.
Other totals for counties surrounding Daviess were: Caldwell 230; DeKalb 251; Gentry 333; Grundy 237; and Livingston 273.
There were no accidents for the northwest region.
