Kate Hangley receives the DeKalb ag award

Kate Hangley of Pattonsburg R-2 was recently presented the school’s highest agricultural honor, the DeKalb Agricultural Accomplishment Award, sponsored by Monsanto Company.

Kate, the daughter of Dana Shipers and Steve Hangley, received the award for excellence in academics, leadership and agricultural work experience.
Amy Holder is her agricultural education instructor at Pattonsburg R-2 High School.
As the winner of the 2008 award, Kate’s name will be recorded on a permanent plaque displayed at the Pattonsburg high school.
