James Lewis, bridge supervisor, reported that they are making improvements and preparing to build a bridge in Washington Township.

Reta Rains, collector, and Vicki Corwin, public administrator, filed certificates of training.

An estimate of $3,130.22 was received for repairs to a sheriff department vehicle. The damages occurred during a road block in a criminal case.

The Chi-Rho youth group from the First Christian Church requested permission to plant two trees in the courtyard on May 16. The matter was taken under advisement.

Becky Simpson, Extension Council, met with the commission requesting permission to use the courtyard on July 11 for Extension Week. Permission granted.

Vicki Corwin, public administrator, was appointed to the governing board of the Community Action Agency for a two-year term. Danny Heldenbrand will serve as alternate.

Doug Reed, Washington Township, met with the commission regarding culvert and brush problems.

Bills were audited and paid.

Sheriff Dept.

Daniel Terry, 52, Liberty, was arrested May 1 and charged with DWI, persistent offender, class D felony, driving while revoked, class A misdemeanor, and speeding, class C misdemeanor. He posted $15,000 bond.

Elvia Cortez, 31, Pasadena, Calif., was arrested May 3 for misdemeanor no valid license. He posted $500 bond.

Chase W. Morris, 18, Pattonsburg, was arrested May 2 for misdemeanor resisting arrest by fleeing and careless and imprudent driving. He was processed, held pending charges, and released on May 3.

James Waggoner, 50, Pattonsburg was arrested April 28 for probation violations on an original felony charge of driving while revoked. He posted $30,000 bond.

George Pasquale of Weatherby reported May 3 that an antique Winchester rifle had been stolen from his pickup which was parked in front of his residence.

Associate Circuit

Jeremy L. Cole, 26, Gallatin, was charged April 24 with theft/stealing, class C felony, and forgery, class C felony.

Traffic Fines

The following are traffic cases which were heard in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment by mail of the standard fine plus court costs. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside outside of Missouri was $258.50 for two tickets. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside in Missouri was $404 for eight cases. Court costs collected for the State of Missouri amount to $56.50 for 16 moving traffic violations. Missouri defendants, offenses and fines are listed below:

No seat belt: Peter E. Scott, Independence, $10; Charles R. Perdue, Trenton, $10; William P. Arney, Bethany, $10.

Speeding amended to defective brakes: Kyle A. Johnson, Kansas City, $200.

Speeding: Ryan L. Cox, Kansas City, $88.50; Charity F. Cox, Pattonsburg, $28.50; Robert L. Dean, Cameron, $28.50; Brandon S. Lisle, Blythedale, $28.50.

Civil Court

Suits on account: Consent judgments were entered for Worldwide Asset Purchasing LLC and against Robert Sutton Sr; and for CACH LLC and against Byron A. King.

Circuit Court

A warrant which had been issued for the arrest of Tyson N. Tully, who failed to appear for a probation violation hearing, was withdrawn on April 29..

A dissolution of marriage was granted to Katherine Elizabeth Roe from Robert Brian Roe on April 29. Her maiden name Wright was restored.
