Darrell Teel asked to renew his agreement with the city to farm the hay ground. The board agreed to let Mr. Teel renew this agreement for the summers of 2008, 2009 and 2010 with rent being set at $251 a year to be paid prior to the haying season.

There has been an item of concern dealing with six lots purchased several years ago. Larry Jaco purchased multiple lots but had never recorded those deeds. In working through with the city’s attorney on applying the two year development portion of the lot sales, it was stated that Mr. Jaco never had a title to record.
There was no way to verify the validity of this statement. However, the city calculated the amount of tax money which would be applicable for the years since the purchase and this funding was placed in an escrow account pending division of these funds to proper locations.
A General Warranty Deed on lots 65, 66, 67, 82, 83, and 84 in Morris Subdivision was issued to Mr. Jaco with the two year limitations on development of this property as per the original issuance of lots in the Morris subdivision. This was accomplished through the city attorney Mr. Cowherd.
The board offered a water contract to Public Water Supply District, written by the city, for last year, and is waiting on a response. The board voted to raise the depreciation amount for next year.
The board entered into executive session to discuss employee reviews.
After returning to open session, the board decided on an approximately 5% raise for the employees.
The above are the unapproved minutes of the regular meeting for the Pattonsburg Board of Aldermen held Wednesday, April 16.
