Gallatin R-5 fifth grade students Aubrey Nelson and Gabrielle Gibson recently participated in the Duke University TIP (Talent Identification Program) by taking the EXPLORE test.

EXPLORE is a multiple-choice test developed by American College Testing (ACT) to evaluate eighth students’ academic development. Duke TIP offers the EXPLORE test to academically talented elementary students as an above-level test to assess their academic level and potential. The EXPLORE test is not available to elementary students unless they are enrolled in the Duke TIP 4th/5th Grade Talent Search. Aubrey and Gabrielle were nominated in fourth grade for the TIP by their enrichment teacher, Kim Brammer.
