The Pattonsburg R-2 Board of Education approved switching from propane to natural gas during their regular meeting held Tuesday, April 15.

The change-over will take place this summer.
The board approved rehiring all non-certified staff, and also approved staff and extra duty schedules and pay ranges.
The board accepted the resignations of Jennie Adkison, third grade teacher; Amy Holder, ag teacher; and Jacob Wilson, speech implementer.
The school calendar was revised. The last day is Friday, May 23, with an 11:30 dismissal.
The district received a good standing on the MSIP review.
The co-op agreement with North Daviess was approved for boy’s junior high basketball, boy’s varsity basketball and boy’s softball.
Marcie Bailey was sworn in as new member, as well as Craig Lambert and Eugene Thatcher, both incumbents. The board was reorganized with Craig Lambert president; Eugene Thatcher vice-president; Lincoln Cornett, secretary; and Patty Hartley, treasurer.
The Academic Team went four-in-one and finished second at district competition. Rhyse Curtis and Chase Conover made the All-District Academic Team.
Mrs. Bradey reported on a MAP testing incentives trip on April 18. The elementary fund-raiser will be a bike-a-thon. Field day is May 9. Summer school is May 28 to June 10. The boys and girls 5th and 6th grade basketball teams were congratulated as each team took third place in the North Daviess Tournament.
The board adopted the state model of the special education compliance plan.
The board approved addendums to staff contracts in regards to the new IRS tax rule relating to the deferral of salaries from one year to the next.
The board agreed to put out bids for the sell of a bus.
Policy revisions in regards to unused sick leave pay were approved.
