Product of the month for April is any canned item.
Calling all Chili Connoisseurs! Come compete in our Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, April 26. Prizes will be given to the top three entries. For those who don’t want to cook, come be the judge. For $3 you buy a bowl, spoon and ballot to taste all the entries and judge the winner for yourself. For those with a sweet tooth, we will also have a Dessert Silent Auction with pies, cakes and cookies. To enter the contest, donate a dessert, or for more information, call the center at 663-2828.
Area-wide elections for AAA Board, Advisory Council, Silver Haired Legislature, Nutrition Council and our Board of Directors are May 6. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 109 South Main Street, Gallatin. All residents of Daviess County age 60 and over are welcome to vote.
It’s Almost Mowing Time! Support our nutrition program by buying a raffle ticket for our Spring Lawn Care Raffle. There will be two winners. First winner chooses between a Cub Cadet rider or a Snapper walk-behind and Stihl trimmer. Second winner will get the remaining prize. The drawing will be held May 12 at noon at the center. Tickets are $5 each or 6 for $25. Tickets can be purchased at the center or at Pamida. Call 663-2828 for more information.

Monday: spaghetti and meatballs, salad, juice, garlic toast, pudding dessert; Tuesday: fish and cornbread, baked beans, coleslaw, cookies and fruit; Wednesday: chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots and peas, fruit with gelatin; Thursday: meatloaf, cheesy potatoes, broccoli, fruit cobbler; Friday: hot beef sandwich, mashed potatoes, green beans, fruit.
