Elsie Croy, 91, of Gallatin, passed away Thursday April 10th, 2008, at the North Kansas City Hospital. Services were held Monday, April 14, at the McWilliams Funeral Home, Gallatin. Visitation was held one hour prior to services. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Gallatin care of the funeral home.

Elsie was born near Gallatin March 4, 1917, the daughter of Charles and Alta Boor. She lived most of her life in the Altamont and Gallatin area where she graduated from the Altamont High School in 1935. She married Tom Brown Croy on May 9, 1945. He preceded her in death July 2, 2003 after 58 years of marriage.
Elsie worked at the War Price and Rationing Board during World War II.
She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Gallatin, MO., where she worked many years in the nursery. She was also a former member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association Auxiliary and the Disabled Americans Veterans Auxiliary. Elsie was a loving mother and grandmother as well as a caregiver to other friends and relatives her entire life. Her kind and gentle nature will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Vuna Frazier.
Her survivors include her sons, Tom Croy and wife Maxine of Kansas City, Mo., Bob Croy and wife Chris of Overland Parks, Kan., six grandchildren, Scott Croy and wife Michelle, Cara Peterson and husband Bronz, T.C. Croy, Caitlin Gapsch and husband Eric, Doug Croy, Stephen Croy and five great-grandchildren. Other survivors include sister, Gladys Lunnon and her husband Don, sister Marguerite Blackburn, brother, Loren Boor and his wife LaVonne.
