Mowing bids were opened and reviewed during the regular meeting of the Dockery Park Board held Thursday, March 20, with the bid from William Griffin accepted (two members abstaining).

Bills totaling $2,583.84 were approved for payment.
A member of the Murray Family has not been reached yet about a date for a ribbon cutting ceremony. The Daviess County Health Department would like to participate. The plaque for the walking trail was shown to board members.
March 22 the board worked at the park doing brush clean up, building work, ball field maintenance and bathroom repair.
A motion carried to purchase needed equipment, make needed copies and place an ad in the paper regarding summer ball. Kerry McBroom will be reimbursed for fuel to go to a ball meetings in Lawson. Baseball shirts were ordered similar to last year’s.
Lights on the baseball fields were discussed. The replacement of bulbs was tabled. Prices will be looked into for field conditioner. A motion was made to purchase chain and locks for the ball fields.
Gravel will be purchased for the park roads. Teddy Holcomb, city worker, will be allowed to use his judgement on the amount needed as he hauls.
Park bathrooms were discussed. Chemicals are needed for the lower bathrooms and the upper bathrooms need repairs.
The park has no contact regarding the outside shelter building.
The water leak by the maintenance building was discussed.
Christy Smith stated she would like to be a park board member.
A motion carried (with one member abstaining) to send letters regarding building rental.
Next park board meeting is April 17.
