Gallatin enrichment class students attended GEM (Gifted Enrichment & Motivation) Day on March 1 at South Valley Junior High School in Liberty. GEM Day is a one-day program sponsored by gifted education teachers in GAM (Gifted Association of Missouri) District C. GEM Day is offered to students in kindergarten through ninth grade who participate in gifted education classes. Attending (pictured) were Riley McNeely, Macon Allen, Dane Brammer and Coby Brogan. Macon learned about Spanish and sign language while Dane participated in a checkmate chess challenge and learned about Zero G. Riley made mammal books and egg parachutes, and Coby learned about dinosaur hunting in Montana and Zero G. Their enrichment teacher, Mrs. Kim Brammer, presented sessions on natural disasters.
