Two young Girl Scouts from Winston will be among those participating in an honors ceremony on Saturday, March 29 at the First Baptist Church of Raytown. Hannah Goebel and Samantha Parman will be among the nearly 250 young women receiving Girl Scouting’s highest achievements. The ceremony begins at 2 p.m.
Both girls from Winston earned the Girl Scout Silver Award. This is the highest national recognition for Girl Scouts ages 11-14 (6-9th grades). It represents a required 40 hours dedicated to a service project, and honors each girl’s skills in self-development, leadership and service.
