Over $200 raised to support military in Iraq, 4th grade raises most

The Gallatin FCCLA raised $228.58 to help support the 11 Cents Program. Throughout the month of December, the FCCLA Chapter collected money for the 11 Cents Program within the community and at Covel D. Searcy Elementary.

 The 11 Cents Program challenges people to donate at least 11 cents to benefit the families of military persons serving in Iraq. A contest was held at Covel D. Searcy amongst the grades to see which class could raise the most money. Pictured above are the fourth grade classes which raised a combined $30.59 and were treated to candy for their efforts.
