Twenty-nine students and adult leaders gave to the community by delivering Meals on Wheels and helping serve lunch at the Daviess County Active Aging Resource Center.
The young people volunteered for the service project on a day-off from Gallatin School.
The Chi-Rho non-denominational Christian youth group for grades fourth through eighth grades brought cake and ice cream for a full house of seniors on Friday, March 7. The youth brought card and board games and spent recreational time with those coming in for lunch at the Center.
The Chi-Rho youth found it to be a very enjoyable and successful activity and plan to continue helping at the Center.
Upcoming activities for the Chi-Rho include writing letters to our servicemen and servicewomen in April. In May the group plans to do yard work and plant a Chi-Rho tree in the courthouse yard.
Chi-Rho meets once a month and is always looking for new faces to help serve the Lord. If you are interested in joining Chi-Rho, please contact the First Christian Church at 663-3415, or Chi-Rho leader Vera Nelson at 663-2801.
