Funeral services for Betty Rainez-Reno will be held at10 a.m. on Friday at Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, St. Joseph. Interment will be at Mount Auburn Cemetery, St. Joseph. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and a parish rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday. The family suggests memorial gifts to Hands of Hope Hospice.
Betty Rainez-Reno, 83, St. Joseph, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at her residence.
Mrs. Rainez-Reno was born Aug. 8, 1924, in St. Joseph.
She married Cecil J. Rainez on Oct. 26, 1939. He survives of the home.
Mrs. Rainez-Reno was preceded in death by her parents, John Francis and Ruby Rose (Freemeyer) Browning; three brothers, James, Billy and Bobby Browning; and two sisters, Marilyn Ytell and Beverly McKinney.
Other survivors include children, Raymond Reno of White Cloud, Kan.; Robert Rainez, Ramona Gann, Theresa Schlup, Carmen Redmond, Alex Rainez, and Raelena Petrovick, all of St. Joseph; brother, Eugene Browning, Pattonsburg; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
