A Gallatin woman and a Jamesport man were injured in a fiery crash at about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, in Daviess County.

According to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Cinthya Davis, 33, Gallatin,was traveling eastbound on Route C three miles south of Coffey
Ms. Davis failed to stop at a stop sign and her 1996 Dodge continued across Hwy. 13, traveled off the east side of Hwy. 13, stuck an embankment and became airborne.
The vehicle struck the ground and a concrete culvert, overturned onto its driver’s side and struck several trees. The vehicle came to rest on the driver’s side, facing east off of the east side of Hwy. 13 and became fully engulfed in flames.
Ms. Davis, who was wearing her seat belt, received moderate injuries and was taken by NTA Ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital.
A passenger in the vehicle, Ezra Gingerich, 47, Jamesport, who was not wearing his seat belt, received serious injuries and was taken by NTA Ambulance to Harrison County Community Hospital and then transported to Liberty Hospital.
The 1996 Dodge was totaled and towed by Bethany Tow.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. A.K. Griffin, assisted by Cpl. P.M. Kimball, Tpr. J.S. Johnson, Tpr. J.M. Cross, Recruit M.L. Starmer, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department, the Pattonsburg Fire Department and the Jameson Fire Department.
Cinthya Davis received a summons for vehicular assault (Class B Felony) and was arrested by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. According to the Patrol’s arrest report, she was held at the hospital and later released.
A Kidder woman received minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at about 10:35 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 29, in Caldwell County.
The accident occurred as Robb Winkie, 16, Breckenridge, was attempting to turn north onto Route J from Hwy. 36. Debera Cochenour, 60, Kidder, was southbound on Route J, approaching Hwy. 36. Robb lost control of his vehicle and slid into the southbound lane. The left front of his 1998 Chevrolet Prism struck the left front of Mrs. Cochenour’s 2002 Jeep Liberty.  Robb’s vehicle came to rest off the west side of the roadway. Mrs. Cochenour’s vehicle came to rest on the southbound shoulder.
Mrs. Cochenour, who was wearing her seat belt, was taken by private vehicle to Cameron Regional Medical Center.
The Chevrolet was extensively damaged and towed by Walker’s Tow of Hamilton. The Jeep was moderately damaged and towed by Scotty’s Carriage Works of Cameron.
The accident was investigated by Cpl. M.S. Belshe, assisted by Tpr. T.N. Garton, Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department and Kidder Fire Department.
Summons to Robb Winkie for failure to drive on right half of roadway.
A Jamesport man received moderate injuries in an accident at about 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27, according to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The accident occurred as Johnny Rainey, 33, Jamesport, and Gregory Knight, 27, Winnsboro, Texas, were both eastbound on Hwy. 6 about four miles west of Trenton.
Mr. Knight was stopped in the roadway in his 2006 Kenworth to make a left-hand turn. Mr. Rainey was driving a 1988 Honda and failed to stop. He struck Mr. Knight’s towed unit. Both vehicles came to rest on their wheels in the roadway.
Mr. Rainey was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital by Grundy County Ambulance. He was not wearing his seat belt.
The Honda was totaled and towed by K&J Auto. The Kenworth received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
The accident was investigated by Sgt. A.O. Tourney.
