In recognition of Scout Sunday, Cub Scout Pack 167, Winston, attended church services on Feb. 24 at the Winston United Methodist Church.

During the services the Pack presented the church with the 2008 Charter.
This represents 13 straight years that the church has sponsored Unit 167.
After a Mexican pot luck dinner, several individual recognitions were given to the boys who participated in activities and events during the past year which included money making, camping, space rocket racing, community service, and rank advancement.
Drew Neth, Wolf, received the “King Camper” award for attending all eligible camps.
For overall participation, Kristchon Hisel, first year Webelos, Shane O’Dell, first year Webelos, and Zachery O’Dell, second year Webelos, received the “Go-Getter Scout.” They only missed two eligible events during the year.
“Awesome Scouts" attended every event. Those boys were Drew Neth, Wolf and Logan Caldwell, Wolf.
 “Super Dooper Scouts,” missing only one eligible event, were Aaron Piburn, first year Webelos, and Clint Alexander, second year Webelos.
Morgan Farrell received our “Newest Scout” certificate. Scott Alexander and Sam Uthe both receive an “Almost a Cub Scout” certificate.
Rank advancements included Clint Alexander and Aaron Piburn. Both earned their Webelos patch. Logan Caldwell earned his Bobcat patch.
Appreciation was also given to the adults that support the Pack.
The den leaders include Kathy Neth, Lisa Piburn, Greg Farrell, and Joe Michael.
The committee members are Bryan Piburn, David Neth, Vicki Uthe, and Tanya Farrell; and the Cub Master, Dixie Alexander.
