1917-2008
Myrtle Irene (Jarrett) Minter of Lexington, Mo., passed away on Feb. 22, 2008, at Shirkey’s Leisure Acres in Richmond, Mo. Myrtle was born Sept. 18, 1917, in McFall, Mo., to Ross and Etta (Boyle) Jarrett.
On Aug. 28,1938, Myrtle married Darl D. Minter of Lexington, Mo.
Myrtle was a talented and loving baker, cook, seamstress and homemaker. Her pies, cookies and cakes were enjoyed by everyone who knew her and she created wedding and birthday cakes for many in the community. She worked as a waitress in many area restaurants and was loved by her many customers.
She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit #134 and the St. Luke Evangelical Church of Wellington, Mo.
Mrs. Minter’s only sister, Reva Russell, of Lawson, Mo., also passed away only a few short hours after Myrtle on Feb. 22, 2008.
She is survived by her husband, Darl of the home, three sons and their wives, Ronald Darl and Eleanor Minter of Osborn, Mo., Bruce A. and Patricia Minter of Nixa, Mo., and Jim and Renee Minter of Parker, Colo., a very special niece and her husband, Bill and Judy White; seven grandchildren, Cathy Sue Montuoro and her husband Mattia, Michael Minter, Karen Barnes and her husband, Ben, Steven Minter, Corey Minter, Stacy Minter and Christopher Minter, and eight great-grandchildren Josiah, Gabriella, Norah, Ashlyn, Emma, Rachael, Sam and Ben.
Visitation was at St. Luke Evangelical Church in Wellington, Mo., at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, 2008 and the funeral service was at 11 a.m. Arrangements were by Kolkmeyer Family Funeral Home, Wellington.

Myrtle was greatly loved and will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
