Timothy Burge, 53, Gallatin, received moderate injuries in an accident at about 1:23 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, in Daviess County.

According to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol, a vehicle driven by Amber Moore, 17, King City, was northbound on Wall Street in Altamont and Mr. Burge was westbound on Hwy. 6.
Amber failed to stop at a stop sign, entered the intersection and struck the driver’s door of Mr. Burge’s vehicle. His vehicle rotated, slid off the north side of the road, struck a telephone pole and a street sign. Amber’s vehicle came to a controlled stop on private property.
Mr. Burge was taken by Daviess County Ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. He was not wearing his seat belt.
Mr. Burge’s 1998 Ford was totaled and towed by Bridgeman’s in Altamont. Amber’s 1994 Chrysler Lebaron was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. A. Griffin, assisted by Tpr. B. Maudlin, the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and KAW Fire and Rescue.
