County Commission
James Lewis, bridge supervisor, reported that they continue to make repairs on equipment. They are also disposing of old furniture discarded by officeholders.
Bills were audited and paid.
The commission met with Bo Harris regarding her duties in the courthouse.
Notification was received of a vacancy in the office of trustee for Grand River Township. Ruth Lewis was unanimously appointed trustee of Grand River Township.
An agreement with the Region H Hazardous Materials Response Team was executed for 2008.
The commission discussed the Alltel plan for the cell phones in the sheriff’s office with Tracy Sims, dispatcher.

Sheriff’s Department
Michael Persinger, 28, Kansas City, was arrested Feb. 8 for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge of no valid license. He posted $600 bond.
Brandon Archer, 20, Winston, was arrested Feb. 11 for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest. He is being held on $500 bond.
Circuit Court
Criminal cases filed: State vs. Daniel M. Wendt, Polo, 35 counts of passing bad checks, class C felony; State vs. Kevin L. Baker, Trenton, operating vehicle without valid license, class D felony, failure to drive on right half of roadway, infraction, and littering, class A misdemeanor;
State vs. Corey M. Boyd, burglary second degree, class C felony, theft/stealing, class A misdemeanor, stealing motor vehicle, class C felony, tamper with motor vehicle first degree, class C felony, property damage first degree, class D felony, receiving stolen property, class C felony.
Civil cases filed: Edwin L. White, Osborn, vs. Larry and Randy Brammer, Chillicothe, mechanic’s lien.
Ashley Guerber of Bethany admitted probation violations on Jan. 22, and her probation was revoked. For felony burglary 2nd degree, she received three years in the Department of Corrections. On two misdemeanor charges, property damage second degree and theft/stealing, she was sentenced to 30 days in the regional jail on each count, with credit for time served.
Associate Circuit
Paula Delp was charged Feb. 6 with passing bad checks, class C felony.

The following are traffic cases which were heard in the Associate Division of the Circuit Court of Daviess County involving a plea of guilty without contest and payment by mail of the standard fine plus court costs. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside outside of Missouri was $553 for eight tickets. The total fines assessed for defendants who reside in Missouri was $1793.50 for 24 cases.
