The youth decided collectively to start the year by giving back to our community and held a game and book drive to be given to the Women’s Shelter in Trenton. The group discussed that their part of being “The body of Christ,” should reflect their willingness to give throughout the year to those less fortunate and in need. Over 100 board games, electronic games, puzzles and books were collected by the 32 members and adult leaders to start the year for the much appreciated Women’s Shelter. The youth ended the evening with a potato bar served by the adult group leaders. The youth group presently has over 50 members from six churches in the Daviess county area. The youth group meets once a month, and is open to all youth in grades 4-8 wanting to share in Christian projects and fellowship. If you would like to join or want to have more information, please contact the First Christian Church at 663-3415 or Chi-Rho leader, Vera Nelson at 663-2801.
