Funeral Services for Gilbert Bird will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 31 at Roberson Funeral Home, Pattonsburg. Burial with Military Rites in Bethel Cemetery, Pattonsburg. Gilbert Bird, 84, Pattonsburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008 at his home.
Mr. Bird was born Aug. 25, 1923 in DeKalb Co., Mo., the son of Daniel Gilbert and Maggie (Brown) Bird.
On Jan. 26, 1975 he married Betty McNeely, who survives of the home.
Additional survivors include a sister, Jean Bird, Pattonsburg; brother, Harold Bird, Atwood, Ill.; step-daughter, Julie Sheriff, Overland Park, Kan.; step-son Charles Sims, Independence; and three step-grandchildren.
