The Medical Staff of Cameron Regional Medical Center held its first regularly-scheduled business meeting of the new year on Monday, January 14, 2008.
Brian Miller, Pharm.D., a research scientist from Glaxo Smith Kline in Denver, Colorado, was on hand to provide a medical education program concerning the benefits of a relatively-new anticoagulant on the market.
During the Medical Staff’s business meeting, the following officers were elected for 2008: Kendall DeSelms, D.O., Chief of Staff; Daut Gjoni, M.D., Vice-Chief of Staff; and James Neely, D.O., Secretary/Treasurer.
The new officers’ one-year terms will begin February 1, 2008. Outgoing Chief of Staff is Fred Kiehl, D.O.
Cameron Regional Medical Center’s Active Medical Staff is comprised of 18 physicians, with approximately 110 physicians on Consulting Staff and 12 Allied Health Professionals.
