Patricia (Patty) Heldenbrand, 76, formerly of Kidder, passed away Monday, December 31, 2007, at her home.
Patricia Louise McVicker was born December 3, 1931, in Brookfield, Mo. to Harold J. and Chlorece (Bush) McVicker.
She graduated from Cameron High School in 1950. She married Loren Heldenbrand on May 21, 1950, in Gallatin. They were the parents of Linda and Steven.
Patty loved to sew, make quilts and cook. She published two of her own cookbooks.
In 1973, she went to work at the Daviess County Courthouse as secretary at the University of Missouri Extension Center. She worked there for 25 years.
Patty was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Loren, in 2005; her daughter, Linda, in 1982; her father in 1963, her brother, Monty, in 1996; her mother in 2003; and her sister, Carolyn, in 2004.
Patty is survived by her son, Steve, and his wife Ruth Ann, of Kidder; granddaughter, Dana, and grandson, Ryan, both of St. Joseph, Mo.; her son-in-law, Bill Lewis Jr., of Pattonsburg, Mo.; her sister, Margaret Miller, of Cameron, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2008, at the Winston Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday. Interment will be at the Winston Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Winston Cemetery or Comfort Care Hospice.
