The meeting will start at 9 am and will conclude by noon. The meeting will be conducted by Wayne Flanary, Regional Agronomist, with the University of Missouri Extension Service.
This meeting is designed to provide important timely topics for growers for the coming 2008 growing season. Topics will include updates on herbicides, fungicides, economic thresholds of soybean pests, sericea lespedeza control, pasture weed control, managing endophyte infested fescue and other topics.

A University of Missouri Extension Ag Update Meeting will be held in Maysville at the Conley Building, Wednesday, Jan 16th. The meeting will start in afternoon at 3 pm and conclude at 9 pm in the evening. The meeting is for livestock and grain producers and speakers will be Regional Extension staff.
The meeting will begin at 3 pm  in the afternoon with a corn, soybean and forage update. Wayne Flanary, Regional Agronomist, will discuss herbicides, questions dealing with fungicides, economic thresholds for soybean pests, white grub management, sericea lespedeza control, managing endophyte fescues, pasture management, managing fertilizers and other topics.
We will have an evening meal then move to Jim Humphrey, Regional Livestock Specialist, who will discuss ethanol by-products and their use in feeding livestock. He will also give an update on the Show-Me-Heifer Program.
Next, will be Jim Crawford, Natural Resource Engineer to discuss no-till and other important topics that affect Northwest Missouri.
The meeting will finish with Bob Kelly, Ag Business Specialist, discussing pasture and row crop rental rates. He will also be available to discuss other topics related to increased input prices of pasture and crop inputs.
