Funeral services for Vincent Perry were held Monday at Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory. Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Joseph. The family suggests memorial gifts to the Building Fund of the Faith United Church, or any charity of choice.

Vincent Lacy (Bud) Perry, 89, St. Joseph, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Joseph. Mr. Perry, great-great grandson of Joseph Robidoux, founder of St. Joseph, was born Sept 10, 1918, in St. Joseph, and was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1937.
Mr Perry served as a First Sergeant in World War II and was a retired Army Reserve Warrant Officer.
He married Anna Lee Horton of Pattonsburg, on his birthday, Sept 10, 1942. She survives of the home.
Mr. Perry worked at the St. Joseph Light & Power Company for 42 years, retiring as the manager of the customer service department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vincent Beauvais and May (Lacy) Perry; and two sisters, Gertrude Pierson and Virginia Vetter.
Mr. Perry was a member of the Faith United Church, where he was the church treasurer for eight years. He was also a member of the Military Officers Association of America and the American Legion Post #11.
Other survivors include his sister, Helen M. Prentiss of St. Joseph; three sons, Victor E. Perry of Lawrence, Kan., Vincent W. Perry of St Joseph, and Steven L. Perry of Kansas City; one daughter, Debra A. (Perry) Harman of Liberty; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
