The Gallatin Board of Aldermen approved a resolution amending the fiscal year 2007 budget to reflect actual expenditures during their regular meeting held Thursday, Dec. 20, at city hall.

Receiving first and second readings was an ordinance adopting an annual budget for the fiscal year beginning on Jan. 1, 2008, appropriating funds pursuant thereto, and setting salaries of city employees.
A resolution was approved appointing Steve Reid as the alternate representative for the Missouri Joint Municipal Electric Utility Commission.
Police Chief Mark Richards reported on activity from Dec. 10-20: 1 Property Damage; 1 Stealing; 1 No Insurance; 1 No Headlights; 1 No Valid License; 1 No Motorcycle Helmet. There are nine dogs in the pound.
Chief Richards stated that they had no major accidents or problems during the ice and snow over the past weeks.
Bills totalling in the amount of $49,693.28 were approved for payment.
City Administrator Zac Johnson discussed the power outage caused by the recent ice storm.
Mr. Johnson commented on the electric crew from Hannibal that helped the city following the ice storm.
Comments were made by aldermen regarding old water wells and the power outage for people who have medical equipment that requires electricity.
Mayor Ballew reminded everyone of the Christmas dinner at Cycles. She thanked the city crews for their long hours and hard work during the power outage.
Public comments were made regarding the custodian of records and the public records sections of the city code book.
