Thanksgiving dinner guests of Woodrow and Maxine Morris were Forrest and Jeanna Morris, Stanberry, Russell, Linda and Kristi Morris, Randy and Sarah Morris and daughters, Ryan Morris and Kenna Morris, Ronnie, Susie and Ryan Davenport, Kelly Davenport and friend, Bryan, of Cameron, Bill and Cheryl Adams, Tracy and Jennifer Adams, Shelly Adams, Joel Adams, of Winterset, Iowa, Dorlene Munn, Bethany, and Herb Luke.
Friday guests of Woodrow and Maxine Morris were Nathan and Tonya Woodward and son, Landon, and Nena Woodward.
Beverly Mason was a guest Thanksgiving of Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Mason and family.
Tuesday of last week Bruce Lowrey and son David Lowrey, Independence, were visitors of Lavena Lowrey. Bruce helped Tommie with field work and David helped grandmother around the house and yard.
Thanksgiving Butch and Evelyn Bayne, Lavena Lowrey, Louise and Judy Bayne had afternoon meal with David and Jessica Barnett. David’s brother Jake was also enjoying a few days vacation from the Navy and was with them. Jake has been in the service six years. He will now be stationed in Virginia, coming from Hawaii.
Those spending Thanksgiving with Justine Vaughn were Patricia and David Barnett, Angela and David Mossburg and baby Camden, Bryan Barnett and friend Brook Norriss, Larry Vaughn and Harold Vaughn.
Thanksgiving visitors of Julia Cornett were Joey and Brian Thompson, Union Star; Bonnie and Richard Walker, Danny and Annette Cornett, Kyle, Jackson and Tucker Cornett, Jason Cornett, Kansas City; Kelly Cornett, Maryville; Joe, Sonny, McKayla Calvin, St. Joseph; Jackie, Jacob, Hayley Morris, Aurora; Ronne and Pam Cornett, Chase Cornett, Kansas City; Lincoln Cornett, Janee, Tanner, Brynn Teel, Mike, Tommye, Paige, Taylor Quilty, Mound City; Larry and Cheryl Cornett and grandchildren, Gunnar, Addie, Brooklyn Cornett and Alea Lezenby.
Judy Horton spent Thanksgiving with her children and grandchildren: Roger, Tammy, Amber, Leah, Ashlyn Horton of Lee’s Summit; Mark, Susan, Patrick, Amy, Evan, Eric and Mary Elzea of Lawrence, Kan.
Loretta Newby visited with Marquitta and Kelsey Brown Sunday afternoon. Weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Newby were Valerie Newby and Emryk. Mr. and Mrs. Kim Harris of Boone, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Petterson and boys and Ricky Carter.

Thanksgiving guests of Mildred Walker were James and Kendra Walker, Tyke and Champ of Leon, Iowa; Julie Trust, Seph, Brendon, Callin and Levi of Iowa; Mike and Joyce Parkhurst and Lora, Sonya Parkhurst, Alanna and Malakia, all of Cainsville; Andy and Teresa Trusty, Preson, Grant and Drake of Eagleville; Homer and Billie Owens, Jacky, Paula Walker, Desmond Poage, Debbie and Steve Someville.
Afternoon guests were Toni Poage, Lora Norton, Tasha Tucker and Mike of New Hampton, Diamond Tucker of Winston. Jacob, Sadie, Mallory Walker of St. Joseph were here over the weekend.
Diana and Michael Gault from Colorado came to spend Thanksgiving week with Virg and Fran Albert and John and Norma Gault.
Courtney and Sean Hollohan, who recently moved from California back to Denver, Colo., arrived Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving with grandparents Albert and Gault.
Virg and Fran Albert had dinner at their home Thanksgiving. Those who enjoyed the day and fellowship were Diana and Mike Gault, Doug and Connie Albert, Dan and Marsha Albert, Darlis and Jeff Wallace, Jordan and Isaac Wallace, Courtney and Sean Hollohan, Aaron and Adam Albert, Erica Kurtz, Brittney Ryan, Tim and Morgan Sruggs and Sheba.
Fran, Jordan, Isaac, Diana, Courtney, Norma Gault, Lynne Teeter and Heather Hamilton went out for shopping and breakfast.
Fran, Jordan, Isaac, Diana and Courtney went to Jamesport where they met up with Darlis and Jeff Walker to tour the Christmas open house.
Thanksgiving week guests with Alice Bell were Brett Henggeler, Maryville, and Allison Ford and Brianna and Joshua from Overland Park, Kan.
Elanor Best spent Tuesday through Saturday in St. Louis, having Thanksgiving with Kathy and Dan Burgers and sons, Andy and Mark.
Mike and Cheryl Minyard and family from Colorado Springs was visiting Donna Hibbs Thanksgiving week. David and Michelle Hibbs and family were also visiting for Thanksgiving.
Mildred Huff enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner with her son, Larry.
The Baptist Church ladies made their monthly visit to the Lake Viking Health Care Center. Taking homemade cookies to the residents were Mary Frazier and Mildred Huff.
Other folks from the church took cookies to several other places and individuals during Thanksgiving week.
Thanksgiving guests with Dallas Lowrey this week were Darryl and Merylan Lowrey, Merylan’s brother Gary Hargus, Kevin and Twilla Clark and family, Tracy Jones, Ron and Trudy Baker and family, Dallas and Diane Lowrey and family, Duanne Lowrey and children, Stan and Jennie Lowrey, Mandy and Tim Bohling and son, Aaron and Kate Lowrey and Eva, Mark and Deborah Lowrey, sons David and Micah, Kris and Elizabeth Lowrey, Johnathan, Travis, Dillion, Chelsey Lowrey and her friend, Jeremy Cain.
Leroy and Janelle Mikes spent Thanksgiving with Scott Klindt and family in Cameron. Others there were David and Shana Day and children, Sandra Holman and Terry Dolan.
Wednesday Maude Youngs stopped to visit with Letha Shipers.
Thanksgiving Letha went to Holt where she joined Mike and Sharon Shipers, O.J. and Becky and they went to Smithville to Sharon’s father, Alfred McNeel’s home. Along with several others they enjoyed a Thanksgiving meal.
