The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced that Route 6 in Daviess County opened to traffic on Saturday, Nov. 17.

Route 6 had an improvement project, which included three bridge replacements one mile east of Route 13 near Gallatin. 
The intersection of Route 6 and Route K will be closed and motorists will need to continue to use the existing detour. The work on the intersection is expected to be completed and the intersection open to traffic by today (Wednesday, Nov. 21).
Chester Bross Construction of Palymyra, Missouri was awarded the contract for this project in the amount of $6,660,838.55.
