Funeral services for Jill Gooding were held Saturday at Centralia First Christian Church. Interment was in the Centralia City Cemetery. Jill Ann Gooding, 53, of Centralia, died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, at her home.
Mrs. Gooding was born March 4, 1954, in Excelsior Springs. She was the daughter of Betty (Hill) Trimm and the late R.L. Trimm, and Bill McGinnis.
Mrs. Gooding graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a teaching degree and received her master’s degree from the University of Missouri.
She was a teacher for the Centralia Public Schools for many years.
Mrs. Gooding was a member of the First Christian Church of Centralia.
She was preceded in death by her father, R.L. Trimm.
On. Oct. 30, 1976, in Gallatin, she was united in marriage to Phil Gooding, who survives at the home.
Other survivors include one son, Tanner Gooding of Centralia; one daughter, Whitney Gooding of Centralia; two brothers, Rod McGinnis of Liberty, and Steve Trimm of Gallatin; four sisters, Ann Schweizer, Kay Woodruff, and Sue Bird, all of Gallatin, and Jane Swails of St. Joseph; and three grandchildren.
