Glen Nichols Osborn, 70, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007, at his home near Gallatin.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 13, at McWilliams Funeral Home in Gallatin. Family visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Olive Baptist Church and the First Christian Church of Gallatin.
Glen was born March 14, 1937 to Clinton and Eula (Nichols) Osborn near Carlow, Mo. Glen graduated from Gallatin High School in 1955 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. After returning home he was united in marriage to Scherryl Dunnington Feb. 21, 1959 in Gallatin. The couple made their home on a farm east of Gallatin where they lived all of their married life.
Glen began farming in 1959 retiring after 40 years of dedication to agriculture. He was a member of the Olive Baptist Church and grew up attending the First Christian Church. He was an avid reader of history, and enjoyed woodworking; Glen also spend many hours constructing black powder rifles.
Glen was preceded in death by his father Clinton, and sister Joann Alexander.
Glen is survived by his wife of 48 years, Scherryl of the home, son Tim Osborn and wife Julie of Gallatin, daughter, Gina Muzzy and husband Doug, Columbia, Mo., son Jeff Osborn of Gallatin, mother, Eula Osborn, Gallatin, four grandchildren Biggs Osborn, Clint, Trevor and Rachel Muzzy.
