Band places third
The Pattonsburg Panther Marching Band placed third in parade competition at the Carrollton Band Day on Saturday, Sept. 22, under the direction of Jamie Dunagan.

The Pattonsburg Flag Corp, led by Tuanette Hulet and Sherry Siever, also placed third in auxiliary competition. The Band and Flag Corp will march next at the Annual Car Show on Sunday, Oct. 7, and compete on Oct. 13 at the Missouri Western Homecoming Parade in St. Joseph.
FFA Hog Roast

The Pattonsburg FFA Chapter will be holding their annual hog roast on Oct. 7 from 9a.m. to 4 p.m. Officers and members will work shifts at the Car Show. Members will volunteer to butcher and cut up a hog provided by Tiffany de Jong. All of the members and officers will learn many new ideas during this experience and also have the chance to show their community how much the FFA impacts everyone.
Adopt-A-Highway
The Pattonsburg FFA Chapter will be holding the Adopt-A-Highway on Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. Members and officers will pick up trash on a nearby highway. Members who help clean the highway will be rewarded with a pizza party.
Blood Drive
The Pattonsburg FFA Chapter will be holding their annual Blood Drive on Oct. 12 from 2 to 6:30 p.m. The officers and members will help with the Blood Drive along with Advisor Mrs. Holder and others. Anyone over 16 will be able to donate blood.
