Krystal Huff, 20, of Winston received minor injuries in a one-vehicle accident at about 12:45 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 23.
According to a report by the Missouri Highway Patrol, Ms. Huff was southbound on Rt. K south of Gilman City, when she picked up a cell phone to make a call and drove off the west side of the road. She overcorrected, crossed Rt. K, overcorrected again and overturned. The 2001 Pontiac Sunfire came to rest on its top in the roadway.
Ms. Huff refused treatment at the scene. She was later taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center by private vehicle. She was not wearing her seat belt.
The vehicle was totaled and towed by Bethany Tow.
The accident was investigated by Tpr. B.E. Maudlin, assisted by Daviess County Sheriff’s Department and Bethany Ambulance Service.
Summons issued for failure to maintain right side of roadway and minor in possession.
