Funeral services for Willa Maxwell were held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Jamesport Baptist Church. Arrangements were by McWilliams Funeral Home, Jamesport. Interment was at the Masonic Cemetery, Jamesport.

Willa F. Maxwell, 87, Jamesport, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007, at Sunnyview Nursing Home, Trenton.
Mrs. Maxwell was born on July 28, 1920, to Thomas and Bertha (Rae) Wynne in Grundy County. She grew up and lived in the Jamesport area nearly all her life.
In 1937 she was united in marriage to Fred Maxwell, her husband of 54 years, in Kingston. He died in 1992.
After their marriage the couple lived east of Jamesport on a farm before purchasing a new farm in 1954 north of Jamesport where they raised their family.
Mrs. Maxwell, a farm wife, retired in 1999, but remained on the farm until 2006. In the last year she left the farm and moved into the Sunny View Nursing Home in Trenton.
She was a member of the Jamesport Baptist Church and the Jolly Bunch Club.
Mrs. Maxwell was also preceded in death by brothers, Edwin, Lee, Milo and Robert Wynne.
Survivors include two sons, Roger and Richard Maxwell, both of Jamesport; two daughters, Ann Eckert of Jamesport; and Joyce Reeter of Chillicothe; 16 grandchildren; 35 great- grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
