Recent week-end guests of Gene and Kathy Walker were Lezley Woodring of Coral Gables, Fla., Gary, Betty and Tyler Woodring of Turney, Chris, Jennifer and Laila Jaye Troxler and Kristin Walker of Kansas City and Roger McCollough of Jessup, Ga.  
The Walkers, along with several other friends and family, were supper guests of Lyle and Donna Warford Sunday evening.
Pattonsburg Plant Manager Mike Teeters and delegates attended the annual MFA Oil meeting at Branson Aug. 26-27. Delegates going were Larry Vaughn, Clyde Bozarth, Craig Lambert, Dallas Lowrey, Keith Plymell, Ronnie Gardner, Garold McDaniel, George Smith and Kris Lowrey.
Saturday Bruce and Marilyn Lowrey and David Lowrey, Independence, spent the day with Lavena Lowrey. The day was spent painting and leaning windows of her house.
Judy Peters visited Letha Shipers last Tuesday morning. Maudie Youngs stopped by on Wednesday afternoon. Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Mike Shipers, Holt, visited Letha Sunday. Roger Savage and family, Jamesport, visited Letha. They had been attending the Bell reunion at the Pattonsburg Senior Center.
Jacob, Sadie and Mallory Walker, St. Joseph, spent the weekend with Mildred and Jacky Walker. Julie Trusty and Levi, Lamoni, Iowa, spent Monday Labor Day with Mildred Walker.
Helen Bozarth spent last week in Joplin visiting her sister. Gene and Charlotte Bridgman also visited Vickie Bridgman. They stopped by Webb City and visited Jim and Pat Morris.
Scott and Shari Klindt and children, Cameron, and Lee Mikes visited Sunday afternoon with Leroy and Janelle Mikes.
Last Sunday Woodrow and Maxine Morris took Dorlene Munn went to Winterset, Iowa, to visit Bill and Cheryl Adams. Those visiting the Morrises this week have been Leanna Thompson, Herb Luke, Forest and Jeanna Morris.
Ray and Karen Kuykendall, Joe and Dolores Cameron went to Brookfield Sunday to watch air balloons derby. Around 3,000 watchers, with 47 balloons, some from other states, attended.
Dallas Lowrey, Darryl and Merylan Lowrey, Mark and Debbie Lowrey, and David and Micah Lowrey, Kris and Elizabeth Lowrey, Travis and Dillion Lowrey, all spent Labor Day weekend with Stan and Jennie Lowrey at Chatham, Ill.
