The Missouri Department of Transportation has announced Route E in Daviess County will close on Sept. 4, for a bridge deck replacement project.

The bridge over Little Creek about 3.4 miles east of Route D, near Santa Rosa, will be closed for approximately two months beginning Sept. 4. The existing bridge deck will be removed and a new deck will be constructed along with guardrail improvements. The recommended routes to use during this closure are Route D, Route Z and Route 69. The contractor on this project is L.G. Barcus and Sons, Inc. of Kansas City, Kan.
